Toronto gives condominium corporations authority to ban owners from listing on Airbnb

While Airbnb can be a great option for travellers, many homeowners and renters aren’t aware of the inherent risks of using Airbnb for short-term rentals or visits.

From squatting to property damage, you can be liable for the actions of those people staying in your home.

For this reason, an Ontario court has given condominium corporations the authority to ban unit owners from posting their properties on Airbnb.
